Just purchased my first Kubota. It's a B6200, 4WD with standard trans. One drawback is it has ag. tires and I prefer turf. Is there anyone out there near the ohio area willing to make a trade. Also, could anyone suggest a source for turf tires/wheels other than those expensive orange dealers.

It uses a 16 inch rim in the rear and the ag tires are 8 by 16 or 8.3 by 16, I've seen either one. If you want to replace them with turfs you can just buy automobile or SUV tires for it and save a ton of money. It's real easy to find 16 inch automobile tires in many widths and a lot cheaper, and turf tread is just like automobile tread.

The rims used on B6200 ag tires are the exact same rims they use on implements and trailers and even the front wheels of bigger tractors. It's a generic rim and there is no reason you have to buy artificially inflated tires (I mean the price is inflated not the tires. Well, the tires are too). Some of the L series Kubotas use the same rim for the front that the B6200 has for the rear. It's a very common generic rim.

However, turf rims for the B6200 are a lot wider than the ones you have so maybe if you want wide turfs (advised) you need new wider rims for the tractor. ....

John and Morgan, that is where I was going. I can send pics of what I have done to my 4100. I am really pleased with the radial tire performance on my tractor. Too bad I can't figure out a way to switch the BX over. ....

Mark -

Don't know for sure...Remember the old, I mean old Honda Civic? It came with 12" wheels. Don't know if the bolt pattern is the same or not as that of a BX, but, you never can tell. Also, Ditch Witch has similar wheels (width) as that found on BX models. Maybe there is a cross reference waiting to be found here.

I actually have a set of Honda/Justy/What the heck was the name of that little Ford, Radial 145-12's on the front end of the JD 4100.

There is room to play on the 4100, the BX is packed tighter than Dicks hat band. The stock tires have about 3/4 inch clearance in some places.

I could put some narrower 195-14's on the rear, but there is no corresponding tiny radial that would go on the front. ....

John Fundy,

The tires specified for turf for the B6200 are 29 x 12.00 x 15

Your ag tires are 8 x 16 ....

There are many people here that can help you with the tires here.I only know that you must be careful when changing tire diameters. If you have a 4x4 they must match the dealer specs. or it can damage the diff.and be very costly. ....
